A cascading spiral - specifically aimed at at heroine but not limited to the cataclysmic outcomes substance abuse. The rusted object serves as a threshold into ‘rock bottom’ as the cast resin crystals alert the epiphany one has when they reach that point.

Addicts are compulsive and eager to get a fix. They pay no mind to respect or gratitude - sucking their friends and family dry. The weathered stovetop acts as the hearth caretaker of the family. The burners exert into space as it strives to serve and feed. Even in its crippled state, it stands ground - but its insides are tense and fragile as it is forever drained by fiends
